I am the Publishing Manager responsible for MENA FM – here is an introduction to my group:
Pageant Media's Emerging Markets Fund Manager (EMFM) group of publications provides fund managers, investors and service providers news, insight and business intelligence direct from the markets that will shape the global economy of the future. EMFM is expanding rapidly in line with the growth of emerging and frontier fund industries across the world and increasing investor demand for emerging markets exposure. Since the launch of Mena Fund Manager in 2009, EMFM has launched products in emerging Asia and Latin America, and 2011 will see the launch of titles focusing on the bourgeoning Africa and global emerging markets (GEM) segments.

With these awards being associated with the leading fund management publication dedicated to the MENA region and our readership being towards local managers and global institutional investors, Pageant Media own the fund management space in the region and we are depended upon to provide information on a monthly basis. From speaking to global investors that we know well, we understand that they pay a great deal of attention to our awards when considering which managers to approach.
Following on from the success of the 2010 MENA FM Awards, we are now closed for entries for the forthcoming 2011 Awards to once again be held in Dubai - January 2011.
Judging will be qualitative and quantitative utilizing an external panel of industry experts in conjunction with the MENA Fund Manager editorial team and Pageant Media editorial director.
At the gala dinner, nominees and winners will be announced and presented with their awards. The Guest of Honor will be Richard Dean host of Tonight with Richard Dean Radio Show on Dubai Eye ex: Bloomberg, FT & The Economist.
In tough times, the accolades given to those who outperform carry special significance, it is the chance for managers to demonstrate to investors that their fund had the skill to beat the markets. We anticipate attendance from between 200-250 top industry specialists of whom 75-80% will be managers.
